We are delighted to announce our selection as a Business Development provides on the Women Economic Empowerment for the Green Transformation (WEEG-UWEP) project, implemented under the GIZ WE4D Uganda initiative.
This transformative 22-month regional project spans across nine African countries, including Uganda. Locally, the project is being implemented in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD), with technical support from GOPA Worldwide Consultants.
Commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and co-financed by the European Union and Norway, the WEEG-UWEP project seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of 600 women entrepreneurship groups under the Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Programme (UWEP) through:
- Creating employment opportunities in green sectors
- Increasing incomes for women entrepreneurs
- Improving gender-specific working conditions
As Business Development Service provider, our role involves conducting comprehensive business diagnostics for the selected women’s groups, designing and delivering tailored capacity development interventions in business and finance management skills. These efforts aim to close existing business gaps and support the transition to more sustainable, competitive, and environmentally friendly business practices.
We are honored to contribute our expertise to a project that is driving inclusive green transformation, women’s economic empowerment, and gender equality across the region.
